About the Author

Stephanie Parker was always a writer, even as a child. She is often inspired by the world around her. Real-life experiences have been content that she would draw on for her stories, basing characters off family members and hiding meaningful items within illustrations as a nod to important people in her life. 

In Silly, Silly Goats, her second children’s book, this inspiration came from her four Nigerian Dwarf Goats-Josie, Luna, Ivy, and Mila. Watching them frolic in the yard and play together, Stephanie found her happy place and wanted to share some of this happiness with her readers.

When Stephanie is not writing empowering and uplifting stories for children and their families, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons at the beach, going to lacrosse games, being outdoors, watching beautiful sunsets, and hanging out with their four goats.

Stephanie and her family live in Drippings Springs, Texas, with their four goats, their dogs Mackey and Lucy, a tabby cat named Wrigley and the newest addition to their furry family, a stray cat that adopted them, Emmy.
